Monday 16th May Meeting

This was a relaxed meeting with only 5 members.
Lots of talk about the Knit in public day and trauma teddies were coming hot off the needles.
We were thinking we need a trauma Teddie that could go on hols with everyone in the group. Dressed in blue and red as this is the colours of our T shirts.

The next meeting will be the one before the next bank hols so please all be there as it will be the last before the knit in public.

11th April meeting

An informative night as Jenny was a wonder wool in Wales at the weekend. She brought back lots of ideas and leaflets and of cause she brought herself some wool and accessories.
The emphasis on promoting British Wool.
A few knitted Teddies were being made although knitting was limited as we were very interested to what Jenny was saying.
A nice group of 10 was squashed in the corner ( very cosy) and dozens of darts players at the other end.
Next meeting on the 18th April the last one before the 2 long weekends so come along as it will be 3 weeks after that making it 9th May.

4th april 2011

A busy night of knitting. 12 members tonight and all knitting something different which was nice to see.
Lots of chatter about different things.
Jenny brought in the goodies that were sent to her from the British wool marketing board.
This included literature, wool, wonderful posters and a beautiful sheep which will probably become our mascot.

Next meeting Monday 11th April same time same place.

The Knitting and Craft show at Towerlands braintree

We Have been working very hard on this show and to all the people who came and saw us, had a knit and was taught something it has been such fun to meet you all.
We were collecting for charity and the total amount will be up soon.
We are all very exhausted but happy.
I will try and upload some pictures but in the meantime there is some on my face book wall.
Next Meeting is on Monday 21st February 2011
All new members will be welcomed with open arms.
